What's On My Needles

Diamond Lace Gauntlets by Jessica Powers

Sister Shawls
I made this for my sister, Cyndy Monier, owner of Einstein Sewing Workshop in Miltonvale, Kansas. The pattern is Beneath A Summer Sky by Spruce Lane Designs available for download on Ravelry (click here to purchase pattern). My sister gave me a Christmas present of very beautiful yarn, that included two sets of two skeins, each set being a different color from the other. She included a note saying the set wrapped inpink ribbon was for her and the black ribbon was for me. And she included the pattern name. So I downloaded the pattern, wound the yarn, and started knitting. Her shawl is nearly done. This shawl is knit in yarn by Steel Floozy. Really lovely yarn.

Paula's Tunic
First larger piece of color work, featuring the pattern Canyon Road by Casapinka, available for download in Ravelry (click here to purchase pattern). It is being knit in yarn by Dream in Color. It currently is in a holding pattern because the cat that was sleeping on my lap while I was knitting must of had a bad dream and attacked the sweater. Now I have a repair to do. Hence my first instructional video on how to repair cat damage. AKA how to repair a really bad snag. Along with life lesson #8,456, 300: never knit with a cat on your lap.
